Le Saint Eloi - Solignac

We booked to stay here as our half Way point for travelling back to the UK. We chose as the reviews of the restaurant were good. We arrived and unfortunately they didn’t have a record of our booking, which I had made by phone 24 hrs previously. Thankfully it wasn’t a problem and there was still a table available in the restaurant. We also have a small dog which they welcome but one of their own two dogs decided to become aggressive to her. They immediately made sure the dogs put in a different area. The rooms were good with nice thick towels and complementary herbal teas, French biscuits and fresh fruit. The meal in the restaurant was excellent! Couldn’t fault the food at all and Xavier was helpful in choosing a wine to complement our different dishes. I have rated as 4 star due to the dog incident but definitely a 5 star meal.

It's the best most welcoming restaurant. The chef is not Michelin star for nothing. Exceptional!!! And above all the hospitality is unrivalled! I love this place and the people!

Very good address just a stone's throw from Limoges. The rooms are large and comfortable. Some fruit on arrival as well as a coffee tea and madeleine candy kit. On the table side it is very good, original and tasty. The service is uneven, sometimes a little familiar, sometimes overplayed palace. The terrace and the interior room are well arranged with sufficient space between the tables. For breakfast: cold meats on request but no eggs or cheese that day. On the other hand, croissants, muffins, etc. Watch out for the hotel's adorable dogs during the day but on guard at night and in the early morning if you want to go out before 7:30 a.m.

We were here on Friday. and came back on Saturday afternoon. Very nice place, the server that may be the owner is super nice. mouse. everything we needed to drink a pot on the terrace two days in a row. but we will probably come back to eat a simple and fast dish (salade, croque, etc.).
