Lavender Hall Cafe - Solihull

I recently visited this cafe with a group of cyclists and ordered a large coffee with hot milk. I was surprised to find out that it cost £4.10! When I asked the server about the price, she explained that it was because I ordered a large coffee. The price was higher than what I would expect from a well-known coffee shop and the quality was not as good. I ended up paying the price but felt frustrated and couldn't understand why it was so expensive. - Steven Stansfield

It was certainly worth the walk. Having not been before and simply going off a general search for a cafe somewhere near our walk. What a lovely location, nicely hidden off the main road, was a great sight to see at the end of the track. With the lakes close at hand. Can’t say anything about any other food offered, but the breakfast was really good, not greasy and hot and just the right size as a reward for our walk and to set us up for the walk home. The staff were so nice and friendly. We will certainly be back, as it was a cold day in early March and sure it will be even nicer to sit outside with a bit of sunshine.

Call in for a drink or brunch after or before a walk. Bacon rolls delicious. Drinks hot. Plenty of seats.

We waited 30 mins for our cooked breakfast, for only a single round of toast to turn up. We were prepared to wait a little longer, if someone named Tom, could guarantee it was on the way. Instead, he turned this situation round to accuse us of 'not being very nice ' to a server and was quite confrontational. At this point, we decide to ask for our money and leave. Although the breakfasts are mediocre, we 've always enjoyed the seclusion of this place, whilst supporting their small catering business....not, no more though.
