Hog Wild Bbq Smokehouse - Solon Springs

We are so happy we decided to stop by this restaurant and we definitely plan on returning! I ordered the prime rib sandwich with baked beans, while my husband had the pickled piglet porker fries with chili - both dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as well.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! The presentation is visually pleasing and the bathrooms are clean and smell good (like apples!). The Mary cocktail is especially tasty. This is a fun and unique place that is definitely worth remembering for its scrumptious food.

I typically don't write reviews, but I had to for our meal on 10-11-23. The food was excellent and despite the high level of activity, the service was prompt with no issues regarding drinks or food. The temperature inside the restaurant was quite chilly, with even the bartender donning a hooded jacket and all other customers also wearing jackets. We plan to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy a table outside.

Wow!!! Super impressed with this place! The food was all fantastic. I had the queen cut of prime rib. It was tender, flavourful and done perfect. The horseradish sauce was spot on. Probably the best loaded mashed potatoes I've ever had. There were so many things I want to try on the menu...will definitely be back. I had a brandy old fashioned and it was done great, muddled : .

On our way to Eau Claire, WI and traveling through Solon Springs, we saw a small sign for Hog Wild BBQ. It is off Hwy 53S and we couldn't believe how many times we have passed this restaurant and never saw it. We were greeted by the owner who is as personable as all get out. The food is amazing. I got the Hog Wild sandwich and my hubby got the Hog Guzzler sandwich. We shared as 1 was smoked brisket and the other was smoked pulled pork. Delicious! On the table was 2 sauces, Spicy Sweet and Honey Bourbon. Both so yummy but favorite was Honey Bourbon. It took the sandwich to the next level. The decor of the restaurant fit the name to a T... great ambiance! As we were traveling, we did not want to partake in any of the alcoholic beverages, but if we were staying in the area, we certainly would've ordered a couple drinks as there was lots of good options We will definitely be back the next time we are passing through Solon Springs.
