If you’re not in Hawaii, this is your best option for Poke. Hands down the best. Fresh fish and very flavorful. The tempura shrimp is straight . Friendly staff. There’s always a line so be patient when you get there, line moves fast enough

This little place is a true gem and one of the freshest seafood poke places I’ve ever been.

Walk up to door order. 3 poke tuna, salmon or octopus. Poke comes with rice, onions, chopped cucumbers. Toppings extra (seaweed salad, avocado, garlic chips, etc). Rice cooked perfectly. Fishes were fresh portions more than adequate. However I wish they would marinate the fishes in the sauces longer. They have 4 sauces: original, spicy mayo, soy, wasabi. The tempura shrimps were very good. However I wish they kept the sauce separately. Limited outdoor seating limited parking. Expect a long line, but it moves quickly. They have a good thing going. 2 thumbs up.

This place is definitely not worth the social media hype. The portion sizes are disappointing--the regular bowl could feed a kid, and the large might satisfy a teenager. You won't get full off of either. The taste of the fish is okay, but the value just isn't there. Your bowl comes with only white onions, cucumbers, and soy sauce. If you go to spots in western OC, all the toppings that Kawamata charges extra for are often included at no additional cost. The spam musubi was a letdown. It was mostly rice with a ridiculously thin slice of spam. Not enjoyable at all. I wouldn't go back here.
