Sophie's Bistro - Somerset

Nice French place, I love her baguette and bread. You have some nice drinks, my Fav was French 77. I enjoyed the eggs Benedikt very much, Charge Spinat!! The service was good, they did a job!!

We went to Sophie? Bistro for the first time on Saturday night, about 7 p.m. We had not made reservations, so it was not surprising that we had to sit at the bar, which turned out to be absolutely great. The service was impeccable from the moment we went and were greeted by the hostess at the moment we were gone. The Lord behind the bar was still so busy, but was still so attentive, polite, friendly and cheerful. The owner came by to chat what a nice guy! The food was absolutely lovely. The ambience was perfect, the wine delicious and the desserts and coffee a wonderful finish at the meal. The owner poured a little digestive tract of rum, cane sugar, vanilla and bananas that make them wonderfully beautiful in the premises. We'll be back! What a great find in NJ!

I thought I checked Sophie? Bistro before and have no picture of the excellent food, service and ambience they offer. This restaurant has been open for 21 years, amazing and there is a reason why it is still around? It is unpretentious what many find surprising in terms of French food, the food is wonderful, the staff is beyond good, and I think a lot has to do with the owner Peter who has stopped a few times at our table to see if we and then with a free after dinner aperitif and stayed to chat a bit about the facility. I can't say enough about why you should go, just go!

Came here with my family for the seafood bread. Service was fantastic. 5 stars alone. We ordered a few drinks we didn't like, and our blessing was so attentive and noticed that we didn't enjoy them and replaced them with another order. I ordered the Clam Chowder, who was absolutely delicious. My favorite thing in the menu. I also ordered the crab cake that was great. My family ordered 2 other dishes that I cannot remember the names and they liked them. The apple cake was fine, would not recommend and the profiterole were good. Overall, highly recommended. Very friendly staff with fast and fantastic service. We're coming back!

5 stars all the way. I used to eat here frequently when I lived in New Brunswick. Not sure why we stopped coming but wound up here last night for dinner. Happy to report, the food is still fantastic. Peter was so friendly, asked how everything was, gave us a tour of the new dining room and I really enjoyed the experience. Can't wait to come back!
