Food was just okay. Had the veal marsala and it was chewy; they also served it without the linguini it was listed as having. Waiter served us a wrong drink and then insisted it was the right one. Overall just not the experience we wanted; service was impersonal and felt like they were just pumping people through for the weekend. I expected more for the price.
Well after last night’s experience at La Cucina I wanted to really give this restaurant no stars but the prompt wouldn’t allow to give a review of one the worst dining experiences that I can remember in a very long time. I fully understand using the contactless ease for no menu but at LA Cucina system totally omits the customer service experience by making it a take out process inside a restaurant. When speaking to manager about it because our server was mostly non existent all night. The manager said it’s goal is to make it easier for the customer which it does not. After working all day we all looking forward to come to this restaurant because past pleasurable experiences but this new order system plus the discussion with the staff was met with a confrontational attitude (particularly because they admitted they don’t like either) After speaking with manager on why would the system would need my email and credit card upfront she said so customers don’t walk out without paying, we said that’s not the good attitude for your customers. Since we asked not use the system put the order in. After the meal arrived from the busboy our server must have made the assumption that our discussion on system was about her service so she decided not provide no customer service for the rest of the evening. I fully under that restaurants are short staffed but this definitely not productive for customer or restaurant staff. I will definitely tell people to stay far away La Cucina because this place has absolutely no understanding what it takes to be successful in a hospitality industry.
I wanted to love it. The service was amazing! The pasta was not amazing. The kind man running around to make sure everyone was happy made my night.
The only nice things was the waiter we forced to get. going on an app to order and pay for food while you are in a nice restaurant was not something we had expected, so that started off not son great. if it wasn't cold or raining we would have left. the sangria was not good, the calimari was so hot with too many hot peppers we hardly ate any of it. although i like the fried ravioli, the salad i had was mediocre. sorry to say
