Sugidama - Somerville

Usually I'm not a fan of soba, but this place has changed my mind and now it's become my favorite place in the Boston area. Service is on top and the food has never disappointed me. Sashimi soba and uni soba have been my favorite. Their sushi are great as well. Don't miss this place if you're ever near!

The soba here is house-made, and is as good as the best in Japan. The dashi is first-rate. It's a bit untraditional to have a soba-ya and an izakaya under the same roof, but here's hoping they can pull it off. And it's not a deal breaker, but how much fun would it be if guests were greeted with: いらっしゃいませ 招き猫?!

Fresh ingredients, friendly service, contemporary and trendy atmosphere. Loved the soba and baby octopus.

The food was super delicious and fresh tasting. The service attentive and friendly. I'm going back!

Good sushi, Great duck soup, Great customer service. Brought 2 bowls w/ the soup bc we shared. Yum!
