We decided to dine there because we were greeted by such a sweet woman who couldn’t have been happier to host us at such an awkward time of day (4:40pm on a Sunday). We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 alcoholic beverages, all of which was incredible. It was obviously an authentic family establishment and really was everything we could have wanted. This was one of our favorite dining experiences on our ~7 week European trip, probably because the woman who greeted and served us was so great. Highly recommend for an intimate dining experience off the beaten path in Sorrento.
We arrived in Sorrento on Christmas eve tired and hungry ,we were told to go here by the hotel bus driver ,we had no reason to doubt him however it turned out to be the worst decision i have ever made, the place was filthy the chef was filthy they used a mop as black as coal to clean out the pizza oven we were told they didn't do pizza even though the boxes were stacked to the ceiling so we had pasta -a supermarket ready meal a disgusting white wine and a beer the presentation just awful the taste well er well there was no taste after about 10 minutes we asked for the bill, the bill was numbers scribbled down on a piece of paper not only that they were fictional numbers that amounted to 60 euros i totally refused this but the server didn't understand English so i borrowed the pen and wrote down the prices in the menu so 40 euros then ah but we had a plate of dried up bread so that's where the other charge came from. were were so disgusted we paid the money and left seriously do not go to this places someone is going to seriously regret it -please take this as a warning- you've been told !!! please note that the rating of 1 is only because i couldn't leave 0
The pizza was average, the pasta truly inferior, with no taste. We had to wait for the bill some 20 mins because the lady was taking order from an italian group. The fun came when the bill was given to us, the lady charged us 2 EUR a person for a coperto that was just a small piece of bread and a butter. The bill was written by hand, with the intention of avoiding pazing the taxes, which is in Italy and act of crime. Avoid.
Persone gentili, servizio sedano
We didn't have the best experience at all. I went with my boyfriend and we ordered two pizzas, one Marguerite, it came with no basil. They both were nice but kinda small. We also had one small bottle of water and one can of Coke. When the bill came, it was a really tiny paper with the number 18.00 written with a pen, no itemized bill. I asked the waiter why if the total was 13.50 we were charged 18, and she answered they charged 2 Euros per coperto (it still didn't add up but whatever). She didn't bring us bread or limoncello for the coperto, only 4 small sweet cookies with the bill (they weren't good). The place smelled of fish.
