Holiday Inn Express Suites San Diego-sorrento Valley

Tristan, at the front, is Amazing! So kind, warm and welcoming! He has wonderful communication and people skills winning attitude and personality. Loved talking with him too. The hotel is clean, simple and solid. I like it. Plenty of parking. Starbucks is literally a few steps out the front of our hotel doors. Jersey mikes and a liquor store is tooI slept great. The room and hall were quiet and peaceful. The king room is plenty spacious for 1 or 2. Everything feels new and clean in my room. Modern decor. The TV is big and has offers so many channels : free HBO movies, sports and cooking shows to name a few. I was able to stretch and meditate on the floor next to the bed with plenty of room to move. The bathroom is spacious, clean and new too. Lots of open light and also the ability to turn down the shades and darken black out the room. Breakfast was nice and convenient to have available. 6:30am 9:30am. Eggs, coffee, bacon, English muffins, toasts, cinnamon rolls, apples, oranges, pancakes. I would happily stay here again. I paid for a room here, I'm a employee at a different property and the front desk the two gentlemen were awesome supper sweet kind friendly manager calls me when I check out harassing me saying smoke detector was blocked first of all I don't smoke anything my mess all my trash I threw everything in trash bags and cleaned my room up before leaving to make house keeping easier apparently housekeeping lied and said it was trashed I cleaned up after all my mess throw trash away in bags and I didn't have too that's housekeeping job never once did I ask for extra towels or did they come offer cleaning we stayed there two nights manager was rude belittling and I think she racism she's biracial herself she was rude and has a disgusting demeanor of speaking to people on phone I'm a customer I don't work for her so I won't allow her to speak to me in the rude form she did I asked for her name 5 times she refuse to give it to me after I told her I was calling corporate Also the manager doesn't want smoking yet was smoking last night in front like nothing she should teach what she preaches .

We chose this property for our stay primarily because they had the best rate at the time in the area. The area is a safe business park location. There is a Starbucks right across from the motel. Parking is limited and the spaces are really small. There are numerous nearby fast food and sit down restaurants. The property is newer, clean, and modern. Most importantly, the mattress was comfortable and did not hurt our backs. The walls are a little thin and you can hear people walking in their rooms on the upper floors at night--they are not being noisy, the floors are just thin. The breakfast included in the price was standard for these types of motels, but the quality was good or above average in comparison to comparable places. The man at the front desk was very nice and polite, but the cleaning staff was rude and unfriendly. On the whole, we would stay here again if they had the best price, but the yelp 4 star average is too high. This is a 3-3.5 star property tops.

Had a great 4 night stay here last week. Booked with points, so it was 4th night free which was awesome. Staff was great! Location is great! Starbucks and Jersey Mikes in the same parking lot. Free parking, nice big renovated room with fresh paint, big tv, pretty comfy beds and a pullout couch for my kids. Good water pressure in the shower. Free breakfast every morning...some kind of egg/sausage/bacon every day, cereal, cinnamon rolls, pancake machine. Their coffee tasted a bit off though...only complaint. Everything else was fantastic. This was the 2nd time we have stayed here, and will continue to stay here going forward.

This place is disgusting. I 've stayed at other Holiday Inn Express Suites and they were all clean and comfortable. My room was beyond gross considering all the Covid stuff and disinfecting rules. I 'm sure this hotel sat empty during lockdowns and they had plenty of time to clean it to the minimum. They did not. The bathroom had crud, hair and what looked like blood on the floor and walls. Seriously? These rooms are not cheap. For a major hotel chain this was one of the worst. I heard every step the people staying in the room above me made hour after hour after 11pm. You don 't find out until you arrive that there 's yet another large Starbucks being built about 50 feet away from the room windows. The construction guys start pounding concrete bright and early...about 6:30am. The parking lot has been destroyed, has few spaces to offer that are not being taken up by equipment, broken up cement, or caution tape. The free breakfast no longer exists due to the room being closed and/or remodeled. I 'm so glad I only needed the room for one night. I doubt anyone will care to address this review or my bad experience. This is purely to warn others who will be in the area.
