Hacienda Mexican s - South Bend

If you enjoy American food with a poor attempt at replicating Mexican cuisine, like I do, then this local restaurant chain is perfect for you. It has a great atmosphere and a good bar. This location is my second favorite, after the one at the 100 center. If they are busy, don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. However, they usually handle large crowds pretty well.

This restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite for years, standing the test of time. Originally located in Scottsdale Mall before it was demolished, the restaurant thankfully rebuilt as a standalone attraction. They offer a selection of Mexican and American dishes at reasonable prices, along with a full bar serving margaritas and craft beers. The restaurant is clean and organized, although there is usually a wait to get in due to its popularity.

I would give this restaurant 4 stars solely because of our exceptional waitress. However, the food took a very long time to arrive. One dish was completely inedible and tasted like cleaning solution.

Hacienda is amazing. I went here with some friends on a Saturday and the wait was only 45 minutes! We had plenty of time to hang out and catch up. When we where in the food came out fast and was amazing! I wish I could eat here everyday.

Server was wonderful. Hacienda food terrible quality. It use to be amazing, now it's all cheaply done. The famous wet burrito is way smaller and less filled. The shredded beef was flavorless, had barely any sauce. Overall food is disappointing now.
