The food is delicious, good quality ingredients and the service is great.

First time here but food and service was great. We'll see what the second trip holds soon

First time here! I'm used to chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant, but the salsa here was so good. In addition, they bring you Salsa Blanca automatically, which I'm not used to at other restaurants. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and asked for a side of BBQ sauce. It was delicious and HUGE!!The atmosphere was very nice. I really liked the music and the different colored lights; they made me want to dance.I definitely recommend Mexico Viejo if you're in the South Boston area.

Trash service and attitudes waited for over 20 minutes and no water no chips no waiter nothing while others around us seated after we arrived were already getting drinks and sides. Enrique the supposed manager must be used to dealing with people that tolerate losers, like a champ he hid in the back to avoid getting my feedback. Rude and unprofessional staff seem lost and drunk. No clue how to do a simple job. Place is way over priced and the music is super loud, seats are uncomfortable and the decor looks like someone forgot to take down the Halloween decorations or are color blind. If you have never had true Mexican food then it won’t matter but literally the name means old Mexico and that is exactly what it looks and feels like, Mexico viejo es basura. Avoid your better off going to Taco Bell at least you will get served. Truly an unimpressive restaurant. Avoid.
