Shangri-la Buffet - South Boston

This place looks closed, and it's hard to tell from the outside what it is. The only reason we ate there is because a friend told us about it. Poor selection of mediocre Chinese food. It's too expensive for what it is. $14 for an adult buffet and almost $3 per beverage. We spent over $60 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Bathrooms were dirty. I gave it the 2nd star because the waitress was nice and I left full, but it will be a while before we try again. Their delivery service sucks. They cancel orders with no explanation. I thought I 'd try one more time after having a previous order canceled. This is thru qMenu. This time order placed and confirmed. Driver even showed up to pick up order and was informed it was canceled because they did not have hibachi today. If they do not want to provide the service, they should not advertise it. No restrictions or hours are provided thru the qMenu app. Service: Delivery Service: 1

Food was great. I only wish they added either Kimchi or kimchee sauce cucumber salad to the salad bar section, and it would be near ideal for my slightly unusual (for this area) palate. Only real complaint was being sat too near a family of rude, morbidly obese hillbillies who had to be asked not to change their child 's diaper at the table. Yes. Really. Building is in need of repair on the outside from apparent vandalism, but you can 't fault the owners for the actions of customers or people with a twisted sense of 'entertainment.
