We had lamb kofta to start which were delicious and perfectly cooked salmon for main. Perfect company, fab food and Karen was the perfect host! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a fabulous evening
Four of us had lunch on Friday and it was excellent. We ordered a chicken burger, a cheese sandwich, a steak pie, and scampi, and all dishes were perfect. The Guinness was nice as well. The setting of the restaurant is lovely, located in a quintessential English village. The service was fast and the host was professional, charming, and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed great food at reasonable prices.
We absolutely love going to this place. It never disappoints, whether we're just grabbing drinks or enjoying a meal. Last weekend, we made a reservation for Sunday lunch with my sister and her husband who live close by. My husband and I wish we lived as close. The Elizabeth line is so convenient now, especially since it stops at Taplow station on Sundays. We ordered fish and chips, two roast dinners (beef and pork) and a duck salad, all of which were cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were very generous - my sister even asked for a to-go bag for her leftover beef. They have a great selection of beers, cider, and wine, from which we ordered a variety. The staff is extremely friendly and immediately recognized me and my sister. We're regulars here on weekends ordering our DIY spritzer kit. I always suggest they add it to the drinks menu. The Oak and Saw is highly recommended as a wonderful pub offering top-notch restaurant-quality food at a reasonable price.
Very friendly landlady ,beautiful outdoor seating area with wonderful hanging baskets food was excellent
If you’re expecting the usual fayre in a uk pub pies, gammon steak, chicken it’s not what you’ll get but you’ll miss a nice meal. They have the usual steaks, burgers, fish, scampi supplemented with lamb kebab, lamb skewers etc. the online menu is what they have no specials. We booked, it’s not a huge pub, so might be worth doing that. Good range of local ales Marlow Rebellion IPA was lovely and I’m not a beer drinker. Anyway for dinner we had lamb skewer, pork steak loin maybe a tad over cooked but not tough both lovely. Treacle tart and sticky toffee pud ok but in my view it wasn’t sticky toffee and treacle tart not treacle enough 2 large wines £67. Helpful, attentive staff, worth trying if in the village or like us staying in the Taplow Hse Hotel a 10 min walk, uphill, to the pub
