Toby Carvery - South Bucks

We travelled over an hour for a friends Christmas gathering to your pub. The start of our visit was pleasant however after ordering 4 desserts to be told 3 of them were not in stock (understandable) to then wait 35-40 minutes to only then found out that the 4th dessert was out of stock as well was extremely disappointing. And a further 15-20 minutes to wait for the bill was a bitter end to our visit. We appreciate when things are out of stock but we don’t appreciate waiting 40 minutes for a dessert that is out of stock anyway.

Had a quick dinner on our way home. Easy to get a table. Refurbished interior makes it more welcoming. Friendly staff. Good quality meat veg.

We are regular visitors to a Toby but it was our first visit to the one in Denham. We were shown straight to our table and our waitress arrived less than a minute later. We love the carvery and the meat portion was good. The only disappointment was the red cabbage which didnt look as palatable as it normally does but it tasted ok. We will definitely be back even though its further to drive than our usual one. it was a nice drive out on a sunny Sunday afternoon
