A nice quaint little village pub with reasonable food and friendly staff

I was part of a group who joined together for a Christmas dinner celebration. Some had two course, others had three courses. Different people had different dishes, not all traditional turkey or Christmas pudding. Some had vegetarion some had meat. But we all enjoyed tasty, well prepared and cooked food. There was a good choice of alchoholic and non-alchoholic drinks. The lounge bar area we were given was spacious, clean and well laid out. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful and served us well. We were allowed to take our time with each course and staff were available as and when extra drinks were requested. Christmas crackers with hats, trivia, charades etc were supplied and we had a cracking time!. £35 per person for three courses, £25 for two. Three hours of enjoyment!

We had our works Christmas Lunch here last week and it was great on every level. From enquiry through to end of the lunch, fantastic service. The food was sport on and great quality with really good portions. All 25 of us have said we will look to book future lunches and events here :
