The White Bear - South Croydon

I’m leaving this 5* review to cautiously remind the refurbishment team that this is my favourite pub. The history of the place and all it means to me would surprise you. If you turn it into a typical modern faux-flashy haunt for the hard of thinking, I will haunt your nightmares. Please don’t do too much. Take care of my favourite little spot and I will love you forever. P.s. The past year was horrendous. I went once and it broke my heart. Don’t do it again. Xx

There's just something about this place. We just love it. But it's now closed and up for rent

Loved this place. Really authentic pub with great food, plenty of space to sit inside and tables outside for when the weather is nice. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips

Overpriced food, had the pork belly roast most of it was fat. Yorkshire pudding was over cooked and beef was inedible. Waitresses are rude and customer service is awful! Chocolate brownie wasn’t nice for the price and had been microwaved. Used to go here years ago and it’s really gone down hill. Won’t be returning!!
