Golden Dragon - South Derbyshire

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I can honestly say that we will not be coming back. The set menu for two had starters that were okay, but the main course was terrible. The steak and chicken tasted like fake meat and were overwhelmed with salt and spices. The steak was particularly bad and tasted like it came from a tin. The chicken chow mein was very salty and had fake chicken in it.

We had a fantastic evening celebrating my dad's 80th birthday. The service and food were excellent, despite the fact that our party of 20 was in a busy restaurant. Aaron and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make my dad's 80th birthday celebration so memorable. Thank you!

During our stay at the EMA Radisson Blue, we decided to take an Uber (costing £10) to visit the Golden Dragon. This restaurant was very busy and popular, but the service was outstanding with multiple staff members ensuring our satisfaction. We were impressed with the delicious food and drinks, as well as the wide variety and tasty menu options. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We live less than 3 miles away and have been driving past this place to get a Chinese take away for years, who’s the fool! This was truly the best takeaway I have had in area, good portion size, food was fresh and tasty, the egg fried rice was especially nice not greasy at all. We had: one portion of sweet and sour chicken, crispy beef, chicken satay, spare ribs and egg fried rice. Here is hoping the food is consistently good, looking forward to the next takeaway already.

Had a lovely evening tonight with family, food was excellent and the service was great. Just needs a little tlc on decor that’s all.
