Apparently ownership is too cheap to run the air conditioning. That would probably aggravate me if I was an employee working in a hot kitchen in a hot restaurant.
I recently visited the restaurant and was very disappointed with the significant decline in customer service. The environment was quite dirty; the counters weren’t cleaned, and the floor was littered with trash. The staff seemed short-tempered and unmotivated, often complaining about their work rather than attending to customers. The noodles were stuck together, and the broccoli was served ice cold. I ended up rejecting my bowl. When I asked for napkins, everyone just stared at me blankly. Although I live in Cleveland Heights, I think I’ll start going to Mayfield instead, as they are much more welcoming and the place is much cleaner. Overall, the customer service was terrible, and the lack of people skills was evident. It’s not a place where you’d want to enjoy a meal or a pleasant dining experience.
I usually order the pesto. The food is good but it’s never really hot, just room temperature pasta.
I was a bit disappointed with my experience. I understand that prices are high right now, but they used to serve two strips of bacon crumbled on top, and now it’s just three tiny teaspoons that have been minced into almost a powder. Additionally, the salmon portion is only a 3-inch cube for about $4 to $6. Everything seems to come with an extra charge, which I can understand for some items, but it feels a bit excessive.
Dirty…restaurant not clean even at the beginning of opening. Soon as you walk in you can see the floors and rugs haven’t been cleaned. Would be nice if cleanliness was really taken serious these days…
