Mandarin Gourmet - South Hadley

DELICIOUS, TASTY, YUMMY FOOD!I haven't tried everything. Here's a run down on my family's favs.Let's start with the best... General's Chicken, it is so flavorful and not fatty. I prefer to get it with all white meat. IMO It's not spicy at all. So if you like it Spicy, I would highly suggest you ask for it to be made EXTRA SPICY.All the appetizers are great. My youngest son loves the beef teriyaki and boneless spare ribs. Actually I'd say everyone likes the BSR as well. My-Son-in-law said the Crab Rangoon is the best he has ever had. I'm not a fan of seafood, so we'll just take his word on it. lol. I like the breading to the 007s (aka: chicken fingers). They're not gooey or too crunchy, but just enough crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. And perfect shape/size. Not tiny and not extra long. Their duck sauce is made to perfection. The dumplings are my favorite for appetizers. The dumpling sauce is to die for. These are packed and certainly not skimpy at all. My husband loves the Beef Broccoli and Egg Rolls. My daughter always orders the Pepper Steak in her opinion its awesome. However my family and I do not seem to enjoy the rice to much. Idky but it lacks something. It very dark in color compared to most others. Probably heavy on the soy sauce. So we opt for Lo Mein instead. There's a substitute charge obviously for lo mein in place of the rice and its worth every single penny. Let me tell you this is the BEST lo mein I have EVER had. SOOOOO DELICIOUS ?Food is always fresh and hot. Portions are a good size. Everyone always has leftovers for the next day or 2. Pricing is decent. Another bonus is my order is always ready when I get there to pick it up. No waiting around. Unfortunately they no longer offer dine-in. And never delivered. So it's take-out ONLY. Hey, that just shows that they don't have to. They are doing well enough to only offer take out. That's saying something all on it's own.Last year we moved further away. Yet it's worth the 25 minute ride everytime.In my opinion and my familys- it's Best around.Hope this helps you decide. ENJOY ? FYI- THEY ARE ALSO CLOSED EVERY MONDAY TUESDAY. Unless Mondays a holiday they'll be open. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options Parking: Parking lot is ginormous. Won't have to worry where to park.

Me and my now wife went her for a date night when we first started dated. Back before Covid when the inside was open. Great little location in South Hadley with some pretty good food. Absolutely loved their dumplings. Most Chinese food restaurant places are the same but Mandarian Gourmet hits the spot a little better!

Shrimp was bad smelled like ammonia. Broccoli was also bad seemed it was all sitting out for hours on end in the heat.

Mandarin Gourmet has the tastiest food in the area !THE BEST General's Chicken I've ever had !Egg rolls are so delicious that it's not neccessary to add a sauce !Moo Shu is outstanding !I cannot praise the owner enough for the quality food and fresh vegetables used in their preparations !A+ on all counts.....fast friendly service plus consistent quality food will make you a regular.I highly recommend Mandarin Gourmet...you won't be disappointed !Dave
