Amici - South Holland

My husband wanted to have a nice Italian meal for his birthday, so I searched online and found Amici, even though we live 23 miles away and had never been there before. The parking next to the restaurant was very convenient, especially for my husband who has limited mobility. The staff were exceptional and very attentive. Our shared appetizer of ciabatta with dips was delicious, with fresh flavors. I had rigatoni with smoked salmon, which I really enjoyed. My husband had the rigatoni carbonara, which he also loved. We were too full for dessert, but my husband couldn't resist the affogato, which he said was perfect. My only complaint was that as the restaurant got busier, it became very noisy and hard to have a conversation. The tables were close together and it was a Friday night, so it quickly filled up. Definitely make a reservation! This restaurant is rightfully popular and we would love to visit again.

Always wonderful eating here, but I was particularly impressed last night with a young waiter and the service. my friend and I spent age groups talking before reading the menu. we ordered a beautiful antipasti-sharing plate (which was quite large) to begin and before the waiter went away I asked if she had still a gorgonzola pasta dish I had christmas before I read the menu. he knew exactly what plate I had boiled up-long bark, mushrooms, gorgonzola and Tagliatelle....he told me that it was no longer on the menu, but he would ask the cook if it was possible. I didn't want them to go into hardships, but sure enough that he came back and said they could do it. it was as delicious as I would remember!

I love this place! my own and my partner were at several locations, the personal are friendly, the owners are so nice and welcoming and the eating is always the best! Personally, if I treat myself to a meal, I want to make an evening of it and not be thrown out within an hour, so that waiting for amazing eating from me is always good and time allowed for a few drinks. if they haven't visited yet, I would highly recommend

I had a nice dinner tonight with my family. service is always excellent, eating is fantastic value for and very beautiful. new menu is a winner! veal was to die, filet steak was perfectly boiled, pizzas are amazing desserts. love the atmosphere. this is a family-friendly restaurant with good choice for children. thank you, amici!

We have booked the perfect time to taste the new menu and we were not disappointed! the scallops are to die and my man had the lobster spaghetti from the special board, which was only worn absolutely amazing top quality eating with a great atmosphere to very favorable trips. can not wait to go back
