The hotel was friendly and very helpful The staff were great, the young lady serving breakfast was very helpful and the next day membered I liked coffee, a small thing but appreciated. The locals in the pub were very welcoming. I thought I would be woken up by the market setting up Saturday morning but didn't hear a thing. I stayed in room 7 , it was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the shops. I booked the Indian with my brothers and Sister in law Saturday night and the food was great. There is a costa coffee across the road and plenty of other shops including banks if needed. Lovely stay and would book again.
The resturant is old and in need of a lick of paint and updating. However the food is pretty good. I had a 10oz Rib eye steak that was cooked exactly as ordered it was very tasty so no complaints. The Chips looked homemade so that was nice to see however could have done with another 60 seconds in the hot oil to give them a bit of colour.
Went there with our children and my parents for a Sunday carvery . Food wasn't pretencuous or fancy but straight forward and really nice . The staff were very pleseant and helpful , perhaps a little expensive for s children's portion , ours are 5&7 and didn't eat quite enough I think to warrant the money but it was a treat . On a plus if you ask the chef person they will let you have all the meats or whatEver you fancy rather than one . If you're feeling lazy one Sunday its worth a try .
OK pub food, reasonably priced, but really nothing special. All a bit grimy and old fashioned needs a thorough makeover. The young woman who served us irritatingly said not a problem in response to any comment or query. Why????
The menu and food are lackluster, in need of a makeover, as well as the bar and restaurant. The prices are high for the quality of food served.
