Locanda - South Kingstown

Let's just say I will definitely come back again. Staff was friendly and helpful. My dinner was delicious. Also the bean/sprout salad is amazing.

Fantastic meal and experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming but the food is what you will want to come for again and again. This is my second time here and I felt I had to write the review after having two amazing meals in a row along with such great service. The first time I had the homemade pappardelle with a mushroom butter sauce cooked perfectly. This time I came with a friend, she had spaghetti and meatballs and I the homemade ravioli with the most delicious, creamy ricotta filling with a beautiful light sauce that did not over power the ravioli but rather complimented it perfectly. As for the spaghetti and meatballs?not a drop left on my picky friends plate. She loved. Def 5 stars. Will return.

The special short ribs was delicious. My partner thought the scampi was very good but disappointed there were only 3 shrimp. Friendly staff.

In town from NJ with family for son?s baseball tournament at URI. Locanda is attached to The Holiday Inn. The night before when we arrived we went to Locanda?s bar. Noticed Locanda was packed. How can an Italian restaurant attached to a Holiday Inn be good? I am 100% Italian from Jersey and hard to please. The next night after a long hot day at the fields we decided to give Locanda a try. Wow!! Unbelievably delicious! Homemade pasta and fresh ingredients! Spectacular service! Sandra was our server and also made a great martini. Locanda is a must visit! And I mean it! Great!! 5 stars!!!

We only stopped in for apps and desert, but everything was excellent. The chef is a master at combining flavors and presentation. The wait staff was knowledgeable, and on point. We will be back for a full course tonight.
