Blacksheep have done a bit to try to make the place a bit more appealing since they opened again after the last lockdown adding some comfy seats and a couch, and a couple of plants I think, which has helped, but it needs more of that kind of thing to make it feel less…cavernous. If I had removed one star in my review, which I didn’t, but if I did, it would be for the need to make it a cosier atmosphere, a place that people want to be. But that’s just what I look for in a cafe so that’s the thing I see as the area that needs attention. That and the 1pm closing time, which just baffles me. But I gave them 5 stars because I’ve always had excellent service; my coffee is always hot; I LOVE their artists cups, and I have ALWAYS had excellent coffee from them and for me consistency is the thing I want when I order my coffee. I want to also add something on the service because it was highlighted negatively in another review. I walk with either a 4 wheel walking frame (the kind with the seat you see old people using all the time) or a walking stick. Not only have I had good service but they usually go that extra step for me, literally, bringing my takeaway over to me or outside to me so I don’t have to go to them and in one case carrying out the weird request I had of them to keep making lattes and pouring them into a large thermos I handed them until it was full. So in summary, I would definitely recommend them.
I'm an only child so I cannot be yours theirs or anyone's black sheep so don't try to fleece or arrest me as I will use my pictures
Not friendly staff. Very expensive for eggs on toast.
Time for a name change. Blacksheep no more just a plain old sheep following the rest.
The staff is always friendly, and the coffee is consistently excellent.
