Coffee 7 - South Lakeland

I was searching for a casual and speedy lunch on a rainy day in Windermere when I unexpectedly found this restaurant. The toasties and teas were perfect for warming us up and giving us the energy we needed for the rest of the day. The service was quick and welcoming, and the sausage, cheese, and onion toasted sandwiches were absolutely delicious!

I visited this restaurant for breakfast and coffee, and everything was delicious! The full breakfast was of superb quality and the coffee was excellent. The hot chocolate was out of this world and the addition of a full flake bar made it even better. I left feeling very satisfied!

We have been going to Charlie's in Windermere for over four years now whenever we are in the Lake District. The food never fails to impress, with something for everyone and excellent value for money. The food is always freshly made to order, and you can feel the care and passion from the owner of this family-run café. Plus, it's dog-friendly! I give it five stars.

Not the best. I ordered the special, avocado and prawns on a crumpet. It was stone cold. I mean just out of the fridge cold. Nevertheless I ploughed on. Big mistake. By the time I got to the middle it was actually frozen. I sent it back. Waitress came to see me with no apology but the assertion that as I had eaten half she would only discount half. Friend’s scrambled egg came on white toast when she’d asked for brown. Eventually a round of brown came out. It was not toasted. Other friend’s streaky bacon had hardly seen a grill too. Awful

I had the pasty,salad and chips which was only £5.50 and it was delicious, the pasty was light and flaky and chips nice and chunky, friendly service and a warm vibe, would definitely come back again
