Brilliant chippy, the best in Ulverston. Food is always lovely and fresh and not at all greasy. Friendly staff and easy to order through the website.

Never tried this fish and chip shop before as it’s quite out of the way for me. First time ordering, got a regular fish and chips, the spicy bean burger and chips and kids chicken nuggets meal. Great price for the amount of food! Also a brilliant selection of vegan/vegetarian alternatives which is unusual for a fish and chip shop! New favourite Will definitely be coming back.

We are visiting the area and had a hectic first day so decided to get takeaway fish and chips for ease. We ordered online for collection; ordered at 19.08 for collection at 19.30 and order was accepted but collection time had been changed to 19.55, we were ok with the time if that’s how long it was going to take however we had already set off and didn’t see the time change until we were there so just waited in the car park. A lot of people were pulling up, walking in and coming back out with their order so I walked in at 19.30 and asked about my order to see it was bagged up and just sat on top of the counter. The food was soggy, like warm and to be honest the fish was disgraceful for what was advertised as a Large Haddock, it’s was just say thicker than a piece of paper. Also ordered chicken nuggets which were that tough you couldn’t eat them. Definitely wouldn’t return or recommend

Decided to give it a try as usual chippy was closed. Never again. It was awful. Chips dry and like cardboard, chicken nuggets were just revolting and much more expensive. Will not be going back

Have visited Conishead Priory a few times and passed this chip shop on the way. Kept planning to call in and enjoy some fish and chips rather than go for a pub meal. Wish we hadn't bothered. The chips were soggy and greasy and the fish must have been cooked hours before. Total waste of money. Certainly won't be returning.
