I’ve known Tony for many years, Good kind hearted straight up Man, The quality of food has always been on point, i’ve read the reviews am astonished with some, it can only be from competition, or sad deluded people, genuinely been going their for 25 plus years, the lads their are great food has always been good!! I suggest you try it for your self

Such a shame but this place has gone downhill in recent years. The naan kebabs used to be legendary, and whilst they still are, it’s for the wrong reasons. Mine was over cooked chicken, a woeful amount of salad and a stiff naan. Not good!

Chicken tikka was bland with a odd soft texture to the chicken, almost crumbling. Naan was doughy and raw. Chilly sauce not like any tried before, more a watered down ketchup with chilly in. Same with mint sauce, cheap watered yogurt with hint of mint. Old salad and green tomatoes added to the naan. Chips were undercooked and oily, so much grease in one small portion. Fish is not cod, cheap white fish sold as premium varieties, soggy thick batter. Disgusting , poor quality food. Not edible. When its busy or they think your a student or had a few drinks will add items to your bill and overcharge. I ordered a single was not asked if I wanted a double, then tried to charge for a double. Couple in front came back as they realised they were over charged. Both times Tony tried to deny this and acted as though order was misheard. Don’t be fooled with the niceties and chat from Tony and even the offer of free chips while you wait. Its used to distract so you don’t pay attention when paying and they over charge you. You leave and think you made a mistake or weren’t clear on your order. Better off going up the road to Gabriels or George and Helens.

This fish and chips shop is the closest to where I live so I do pop in on occasions. When it's good it's good but when not, o boy it's not fit for the dog. Very hit and miss which is a shame. But to there credit the menu is varied.

We have takeaway kebabs from here they are great. Good value, good quality, good service. Get the chicken tikka in naan delicious...
