Everything was cooked to perfection and offered great value for money. The restaurant is also dog-friendly and the staff went out of their way to make sure both myself and my furry friend were well taken care of. I will definitely be returning for another delicious Sunday lunch - it was the best meal of the week.
I went for an early dinner and the restaurant delivered exactly what I expected - nothing more, nothing less. The staff was polite, but it seems like they could have engaged more with customers instead of just doing the bare minimum. Why do so many places miss the mark when it comes to providing a basic dining experience? The food was typical pub fare, which was fine. The fish and chips with a watery tartar sauce were decent, but the oil needed to be changed. The prices were comparable to other restaurants, so as long as you go in with realistic expectations, you'll be satisfied.
The restaurant was mediocre. It is on the pricier side, but the steak pie was good while the fish finger baguette was not worth the cost. The location is great for local walks to the pier, and the atmosphere is cozy.
We've been coming to Skelwith Bridge for years, and for these years we'd say that eating is the first class. but on the last visit the dinner menu, as changed more a pub menu and I expect it...may be a new cook because we don't find the quality of the food and the ingredients as good.
We had a friends meal which was efficiently served but ordinary. Chesters next door a better bet. Not much for vegetarians and less for vegans. Why is there a tv in the dining area? Bit tired but staff were pleasant
