I had read some reviews that were not too positive, so I was unsure of what to expect. However, there was no need to worry as the service was excellent and the food was delicious. The four of us shared a platter for a starter, which was more than enough. Our main meals were also enjoyed, although we were too full for desserts. We finished our meal with coffees and will definitely be returning in the future.
We recently visited Luciano's, a restaurant under new ownership, and were disappointed with our experience. While the overall meal was good, my wife, who suffers from a severe gluten intolerance, had a negative reaction after eating here. Despite the restaurant claiming that the bread was gluten-free, we suspect there may have been a mix-up with a friend's dish. Additionally, they initially served my wife a sauce containing wheat, but quickly replaced it when we brought it to their attention. However, we are concerned that the same food may have been reused with a different sauce. I reached out to the restaurant to express my concerns, but have yet to receive a response. If you do not have a food allergy, you may enjoy dining at Luciano's. However, if you do, I would recommend avoiding this establishment. It is frustrating when restaurants fail to acknowledge and rectify mistakes that can have serious consequences for customers.
This restaurant is definitely worth the money. The mussels were plentiful and delicious, and the carbonara was creamy and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were fabulous and friendly, especially the young man who served us on Saturday, 29th February. We didn't catch his name, but he was attentive and charming. The fact that the toilets were pristine was a big plus point. The wine was tasty, and even though it was house wine, it was not cheap and nasty. Our meal for a table of 3, including 3 starters, 3 mains, and 2 glasses of wine each, only cost £92. This was great value for the quality of the food and service. The restaurant also seemed family-friendly, so we will definitely consider it for future family lunch outings.
Been bypassing my local restaurant for a while as I know it’s not the cheapest. Came back tonight and what can I say, but great food. Best soup outside of my own kitchen (they call it Minestrone, but tastes more like Borlotti), and the best pepper steak you’ll ever eat.
Consistently good food and friendly service at a reasonable price. All the usual food you would expect in an Italian restaurant.
