Don Don Australia - South Melbourne

Another Cash only Asian restaurant...surprise, surprise. Gods awesome, service quick, venue very load. Not helped by group of under 30's swearing their heads of while having dinner. Lots of kids in earshot. Very disappointing

I was craving a Don Don's meal and I drove 30 mins into South Melbourne store and it was totally worth it!! The teriyaki chicken meal is a super generous and delicious and only cost $7.40!! Make sure you have cash though as its cash only. After ordering, my meal was ready in like 60 seconds! Another tasty meal is the chicken curry Don.The south Melb restaurant is great if you're driving in. You can park right in front of the restaurant, grab your meal and go, or you can sit. It always in packed during lunch time which is testimony to its fantastic food!!

The speed of service here is unbelievable. No sooner have paid than you meal arrives. A simple menu which is excellently priced. Food is tasty and fresh. Great for lunch.

Love the freshness of the food, the price, the portion and the speed at which they serve the food.We love the fried chicken, and sashimi don, which I switched from rice to salad. It was a delightful bowl. Also tried their noodles and teriyaki chicken. We found the portion hearty.That warranted a second visit in 24 hours.

After walking for most of the day around South Melbourne, despite being hungry I really fancied some Japanese. I ordered a Chicken Katsin Don. The meal was out in a flash and I really enjoyed it. Big serving with some zucchini and pickled capsicum on the side. $11.70 for the meal and an Asahi beer was great value.
