Dirty Al's - South Padre Island

The food was very good! I had the fish basket and my kids had the burgers. The crab cake is meh, I wouldn't recommend, not $8 for one. One of the burgers was under cooked, the manager was very polite and apologetic! The bathrooms were a bit dirty! Onemajor issue I had was the bus service. They waited by our table staring at us awkwardly. They cleaned our table without givingus a chance to leave. One of the ladies even SNATCHED the basket from my wife. If it wasent for the other lady with hercorrecting her I would have. The service needs work, Staff isn't very inviting!! All in all the food is good however I WILL NOTRETURN! Good food isn't enough to excuse rude behavior!

Had to stop for seafood at Dirty Al's! I loved the atmosphere here. We sat outside by the boats. The food was really good. We ordered the New Orleans boiled shrimp and blackened fish tacos. Washed it down with a couple of beers. Very good dinner. I would recommend eating here. There was so much more to try. Maybe next time. Very friendly staff and great service. Thanksfor a great experience!

Overall it was a good visit. The food tasted great and the waitress we had was wonderful. My only complaint was the billing system. Me and my battle buddy went in with our family and we were a party of 6. They charged me and him $11 extra for a largeparty even though it was two separate checks. I didn't notice until I had paid. Was a good experience just check your billbefore paying.

Food was good. Service was great. Where we are disappointed was the amount of food from a ?large? to a ?medium? was minimal. Several of us ordered medium dishes and one ordered a large. There was almost no difference between the two, yet a difference inprice. Medium fish and shrimp dish had 3 fish 4 shrimp. The large Fish, Oyster, Shrimp had the same amount of fish and shrimpand a few oysters added. Next complaint was our drinks ?Painkillers? which is why we come!! The drinks were served in smalldisposable cups not the larger reusable ones we have come to know. But also was missing the sugary coconut rim!! We inquiredwhy this was different? And were told they were out of coconut. Bummer! Not sure we will keep Al?s in our tradition of SPIadventures after this visit.
