Verbena - South Portland

There are fantastic lunch and dinner choices available for both vegans and non-vegans! I highly recommend trying their innovative dinner dishes, which rotate weekly (currently offered only on Fridays and Saturdays). The atmosphere is welcoming, and the friendly staff, along with owner and chef Melissa, always makes a point to greet you warmly.

I had a really good vegan sandwich! Among the few places in the area that offer homemade vegan options, this one stands out as one of the best I've had. The location is lovely, situated in the charmingly retro yet lively Knightsville, complete with a few outdoor tables. This all contributes to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The food is amazing and the owner is as kind and gracious as can be. She has the best catering for events (wedding showers, small gatherings etc). The quiche is to die for!

The best chocolate brownies in all of greater Portland! They're dense, moist, and incredibly rich in chocolate flavor. The chai latte is made from scratch, using a blend of spices, honey, and black tea—it's so delicious, you'll find it hard to stop drinking it. They also offer vegan options and creative ingredient combinations, all while being environmentally conscious with their recycling efforts. Plus, the tall ceilings provide plenty of space for those who are concerned about Covid.

Verbena's food and service is so amazing. I've eaten in the restaurant and Verbena did the catering for my wedding. The owner Melissa goes way above and beyond with helping and coordinating. Her attention to detail is fantastic, I have so many great things to say about our experiance. My wedding would have not happened with out Verbena and Melissa! We had vegetarians and gluten free guest and Verbena met all of our needs and our guest needs, but also looked and tasted fantastic. High quality food with a lot of taste! Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich in South Portland and highly recommend them for catering any event. Suburb all around!!!
