So many pictures taken, and they definitely don't do it justice. We have visited in the summer and in the spring just after a nice blanket of snow, not sure what time was my favorite. Just so much beauty in this little state park! Could just sit and listen to the falls all day, can't wait to go back!
Visited the falls area and checked out campsites for the future, since I want to come back in spring. One of the falls must be for runoff, since it was currently not active (named Now and Then Falls for a reason). But the upper and lower falls area was a blast. The sandstone in the area is a unique sight, since it is pink. We will be back to hike, camp and explore more of this beautiful area.
Very scenic park. The small rapids along the park road when we first drove in really caught our eyes. I was excited to see the covered bridge in person. The multiple waterfalls and the rocky stream are very picturesque. The park is smaller but a lot of fun to spend time at. I want to go back and eat lunch in one of the many picnic tables. The restrooms were pit type but they were clean. We spent 45 minutes here and wish we had more time.
October is a beautiful season to visit here.We stopped here on a Friday. It was quiet and peaceful. With the fall colors it was well worth the stop.Just a short drive off of Hwy 2 it has parking on the sides of the falls.
Beautiful setting with multiple waterfalls and plenty of cool places to explore. Test your balance walking the river rocks below the lower falls and hike the trails surrounding the falls. Loved the sound of the rushing water and seeing the rock layers throughout the gorge. Worth a stop!Picnic area: Multiple picnic areas scattered around the falls and hiking paths.
