However, in most cases, what they lack in kindness and overall decency, they make up for in delicious food. It 's a balance many New Yorkers accept. The problem with Nico 's Italian Deli, a spot I was looking forward to visiting now that I live in the 'burbs of Westchester, is that it seems like a new comer like me gets the same rude and salty attitude but with mediocre food to boot. The balance is off. I asked a few questions about the menu and was met with hostility and sarcasm. At first I thought this might be a sign that the food was going to be amazing. Imagine my disappointment when I took a bite of one of the most mediocre, soggy, limp sandwiches I 've had in a long time. So I think the dude 's at Nicos need to figure things out a bit: either they improve their attitudes or they improve their sandwiches. Because right now, they both are terrible. As someone who misses the great sandwich shops of NYC, I will gladly take their rudeness if their food was actually good.
The best sandwiches in Westchester County. Food is always fresh.
You won’t get more meat anywhere else in New York. Their fresh in house roast beef is brilliant. Tender, warm and perfectly seasoned. Fast service, reasonably priced. I wish they had a rest room.
Love these guys. Down to earth, really good made-to-order food and plenty of extras to choose from.
Great spot. Nicest people around. And the food is outstanding. Highly recommend.
