Kaipo Kitchen - South San Francisco

I've seen this spot pop up because of Da Poke man, and was craving a hearty meal to watch the 49ers defeat the Cowboys in the playoffs. They don't have any menu posted, so you have to check out their instagram to see what's on the menu for that particular day. I decided to go with the big body burger and the mini-lion king fries. It came out to around $30, but for the portion sizes it money well spent. The big body burger is like a super-elevated version of a big mac. The main reason being because they put that middle bun in there, but honestly I ended up taking it out because I had so much fries to eat and didn't want to waste it on carbs lol. The flavors were good, they had their special sauce, pickles, and flavorful meat patties. If you like burgers, you'll enjoy this one. The mini-lion king fries, was not so mini lol. If you think lion king roll at a sushi spot, it's kinda like that except with fries. I saw that you can order it on rice, I think that's they play for me next time. However, I really like the fact that they use crinkle fries, which were also fried to perfection. They didn't get soggy and held their crunch. It was crazy-filling, that I ended up making two meals out of what I ordered. Definitely look forward to coming back and trying out some of their other specialties like the turkey tail and rice! Quick Note: According to their instagram they are now closed at the SSF location. I hope they are able to find their way back in the Peninsula soon!

Family owned and you feel like family when you come in. Always packed no matter what time you come, the Lion King Fries are DELICIOUS, but mannnnn I stay coming back for the fall off the bone Turkey tails they were a staple at their last location but Lion king fries big body burger have taken OVER so this becomes a limited special occasionally! (Thank GOODNESS) My top 5 items from KaiPo : Turkey Tails Lamb Curry Fried Chicken (available for catering I believe, I've special ordered before) Lion King Fries Garlic Shrimp Fettuccini Today we ordered the Salmon BLT to try and I'll definitely have to update my TOP 5 if it makes the list! Got me my husbands mouth drooling on the videos posted to IG @kaipokitchen so we couldn't miss out on it! Clean bathrooms available, and good music to listen to as you wait for your food. Dine in or takeout. Love me some Kaipo Kitchen!

Got the Lion King fries everyone here's raving about. Couldn't stop eating then went to bed happy . Great with beer, wine or sake. $20 or $25 with shrimps added We'll be back to sample their daily specials.

Today was our family eating out take out day; so we decided to take a trip to Kaipo Kitchen. I definitely suggest to follow their IG account @kaipokitchen for updates on the menu as it changes very often. I had the special of the day (Grilled Salmon Shrimp over garlic with fettuccine noodles and rice $30. Since I am sensitive to gluten they were able to accommodate by removing the noodles for me! Thank you Kaipo Kitchen! My Fiancé had the Big Body Upgrade Burger $30, this is a delicious loaded burger with mini Lion king Fries. Our daughter got the Big Body Burger with fries $16 and we got an order of their famous Lion King Fries $20. I can tell you that we all enjoyed the food, and the portions are very generous so you pay for quality and quantity! Win Win! So we are definitely coming back and supporting our local business!

Really great choice for dinner i am a foodie person so its quite difficult for me to go any new place my friend suggested me and enforce me to taste Kaipo Kitchen! We came here first my friend ask to taste their cheese buger which is filled with cheese just like molten lava cake and BBQ as well so we reached there and their server very active she was busy but when she noticed that we entered in she immediately came to us and attended us with very good and cute smile she served us a table with Lilly flowers i impressed their way of welcome then we ordered our items they served us within the time limit its impressive i like her personalty and her way of working she was completely professional then we ordered cheese fries we did our meal and enjoyed their taste their environment food items and their services won my heart Happy we found this restaurant. Will definitely be returning in SD or at any other locations around the country.
