The Parmesan fries are a big portion and perfectly crispy. Overall good value for the price, great kid friendly truck food!
I wasn't planning to come to this place, but i needed good food as redemption! Came to this place, i had the curve ball sliders with fries! They were amazing, the staff is friendly and the food is a testament that they cook the sliders with passion! I will return to this place soon!!!!!!!!!
What a great time had the Lobster roll Crab roll and some Clam chowder Ask about the Hot sauce it was a great experience Enough to please the family. After a terrible experience. At Whole foods.
Curveball was a truck at the July 4 event at Leo J Ryan Park in Foster City today! The slider flavors really called out to my husband and I. We shared the David and Fungo sliders salt pepper fries. The portions were big for sliders! Both of them were really flavorful. I loved the crispy chicken in the David sliders and the medium texture of the Fungo patties along with the generous amount of mushrooms. The fries were also freshly fried with a nice crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall it was a very satisfying foot truck meal today, yum!
I 've mentioned this opinion of mine in other reviews but I have high standard for Bay Area eateries that specialize in burgers because in the land of In-n-Out and The Counter, you really need to stand out and wow me with your burger if I am going to give you a positive review (and I count sliders as burgers for anyone asking.)I came across this food truck when I stopped by Devil 's Canyon brewery. I 've actually seen this truck a couple of times and thought I would finally give it a try since I was craving a burger that particular evening. At first glance, the menu looks interesting... they have a limited menu and it looks fairly interesting. I opted for the Screwball (basically buffalo chicken with blue cheese dressing and celery slaw), the Mushroom Burger, and the Curveball so I could have a nice variety. I also got the garlic fries.I started off with the garlic fries, which are the bread at a restaurant equivalent of telling you whether a burger joint is going to be good and sadly, I could tell that the fries were pre-frozen fries tossed with some garlic powder mixed with Parmesan and parsley. It definitely let me know what to expect for the rest of the meal. When it came to the burgers, I will say that they do use a good-quality bun, so at least they are not not skimping when it comes to that detail but with regards to the burger meat, it was definitely not juicy nor seasoned that well. As far as the actual burger itself, the mushroom burger was just topped with mushrooms and you couldn 't taste the truffle at all. The fried chicken sandwich seemed like something you could get at your local wing shop. The pork belly was tasty but it seemed like it should have been a sandwich on it 's own rather that topped on a burger patty. Much like cheese on cheese, you have to be cautious when adding meat on meat in a burger/sandwich.I think the concept of this place is interesting but again and I hate to say it, in the Bay Area you really need to go above and beyond if you want to have an eatery that specializes in burgers and that includes sliders.
