The lightly salted skewers were a fun and affordable option as well, though I’m eager to try different meats besides just the intestines. I can't wait to return and sample even more of their offerings. Bring a group of friends to share and try a wider variety! The ambiance truly reflects the experience of sitting on a plastic stool and watching street vendors cook at night markets. I enjoyed seeing them prepare my soup noodles, but I would love to see them cooking even more items in an open setting. I hope this review encourages more patrons to visit so that they can hire additional staff to enhance the cooking experience!
Food was okay. Very reminiscent of the night markets in Taiwan. We ordered the R1: Boneless Roast Duck with rice and duck egg (tasty), R13: Longan Crispy Pork w/rice (a bit too sweet and soggy rather than crispy), Congee with pickled cucumber, preserved egg and minced pork (my mother in law said it was good), and R7 Minced Beef with soft egg over rice (wife enjoyed it). The negative is that we arrived at 2pm on Saturday and there were not many customers but the food took about 25 minutes to come out. I can only imagine how long it might take on a weekday lunch. Hopefully, they are better staffed during the busy times.Ambiance is bare bone with plastic tables and chairs.
Great concept for a HongKong style food market. Pretty confusing with ordering especially when there's a lot of people (we were there on a Saturday night). The line can get long. The menu is on the wall and there were several choices of noodles, congee and dimsum and drinks too.The order took a while as there was a big crowd celebrating a birthday. The congee with pork floss and spam is a hit for my 3yo. The fried rice was also good. The dimsum was ok. They have tables and stools and it can get noisy and crowded depending on the number of people inside the restaurant. They have outdoor space too where you can enjoy your food.
The Night Market has a cool concept and the name really popped out to me. There is not much service here, you look at the menus on the walls and order at the counter, then you pick up your order on the pick up counter on the side. There are some tables with stools inside and outside, it really gives it that night market/street food vibe in Asia. They have multiple different kinds of Chinese food from boxed rice to dim sum/buns to noodles to bbq skewers, and they even have boba drinks, soft serves, and other desserts. I only tried the jasmine milk tea with boba, since I already had lunch prior to coming, so this review is solely based on that drink and my experience. The milk tea was eh, it was a bit bitter with very light creaminess to it with a weird aftertaste to it (turmeric like taste? . I would have to come back to try their food to give them an updated review next time. Overall, I would say the drink would give it a 1 star or 2 stars, but 3 stars in general for the ambience/vibe.
The menus are displayed on the wall, and you order at the green booth. After ordering, you take a seat and wait for your number to be called when your food is ready. The tables are small and the chairs a bit uncomfortable, but I suppose that’s to be expected at an authentic night market. The food was excellent! I had one of the best Shrimp with Eggs I've ever tasted; the eggs were incredibly velvety, and the addition of peas was delightful. The HK Fried Noodles were also very tasty. I’m curious to find out if this place attracts more customers in the evening.
