Cedar - South Somerset

We were pleasantly surprised by this fantastic restaurant, offering delicious and creatively prepared dishes. The service was top-notch and we wish we could continue dining there!

My cousin and I had two amazing five-course taster menu dinners at the restaurant during our three-night stay at the Holbrook House hotel in September. Despite the quiet atmosphere with few other diners, we enjoyed a nice relaxed setting. The waiters were very attentive on both nights, ensuring each food course was served promptly and presented beautifully. The high-quality food featured some unique flavors, with the desserts being especially delicious. If I lived closer, I would definitely go back again.

The food was delicious. The chef prepared special gluten-free canapés for me. The entire dining experience was wonderful.

I was looking for somewhere to enjoy lunch with my sister and decided to give the Cedar Restaurant at Holbrook House a try after noticing their lunchtime deal. We weren't disappointed. We started with a champagne cocktail in the lounge before moving through to the (empty) dining room for our meal. The food was superb and beautifully presented and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. After enjoying 2 courses (and the cocktail) for just £15 each we took advantage of the sunny weather and strolled in the grounds. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I shall certainly be returning and definitely recommending to friends.
