Martock Coffee Pot - South Somerset

We stopped by Martock on our way to Wiltshire in search of a coffee spot near the A303 and stumbled upon the 'Coffee Pot'. This charming little cafe had friendly staff and reasonable prices. We enjoyed it so much that we made sure to stop by again on our way back to Devon. It's perfect for those who appreciate peace and quiet without the high prices typically found at main road service areas.

I decided to try this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. I made a reservation to ensure we had a table upon arrival. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member and placed our orders. The menu had a great variety to choose from. Our home-cooked meals were delicious and we enjoyed the tasty dessert that followed. We ended our meal with a pot of tea, all for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning and I will be sure to thank my friend for suggesting this gem.

We stopped by for lunch and enjoyed two courses for around £7 per person. We were surprised to find out that dessert was included in the price when the waitress brought out the dessert menu. The restaurant is peaceful and seems to be popular with the older crowd, but the staff and other customers were all very welcoming and friendly.

A lovely little coffee shop serving excellent coffee. The ladies are very welcoming and helpful. I didn't get the opportunity to eat but it is clearly popular for lunch!

Great find in Martock just off the A303, which as a main route is generally lacking in nice places to stop for a break. Owners were very welcoming and friendly and we'll certainly remember it for the future. .
