This village pub is fantastic. The bar food is great, the staff is top-notch, and it's a brilliant place to visit. They have live music on Sundays and offer a free cheese board. The fish and chips on Fridays are the best I've ever had. If you're passing by, make sure to stop in - you won't regret it.

As dog lovers with three dogs and three teenage kids, we frequently visit this pub during the warmer, drier months. While dogs are not permitted inside, the pub warmly welcomes well-behaved dogs and children in their outdoor areas, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The Star offers a wide selection of beverages, all served with excellent quality by a very friendly staff. The bar also serves top-notch ham, cheese, and onion sandwiches, pork pies, and sausage rolls. It is definitely worth a visit to enjoy some time at this fantastic pub.

Fantastic community pub. Everyone made very welcome and lovely roaring fire to keep you warm. Good choice of ales and bar snacks. The landlady does so much for the local community too

We always feel welcome and at ease, even with kids (before 9pm. Love their complimentary cheeses every Sunday!! Get there early, it’s goes quick. Looking toward to the next special event…curry nights, fish chips and always a good band on at the Weekend! A true community pub!
