I went to this restaurant for dinner on 30/12/2021. I placed my order at 6pm and received it at 6.40. Unfortunately, the lasagne was burnt so it was taken back and refunded. The chips were too hard, but since they weren't burnt, they refused to refund them. The attitude of the staff was not helpful either. To make matters worse, when a regular customer was leaving, they came over to my table to give their opinion on how I had complained. This experience was absolutely shocking. It seems like the quality of this place has significantly declined. I would recommend avoiding it at all costs.

A friend recommended we try the Sunday carvery at this pub. We visited on October 24th at 1pm with six family members, including two 10-year-old boys (children's meals available). The restaurant was not too busy, with several families dining. The friendly bar staff showed us to our tables where we had a choice of up to three meats, a full selection of vegetables, and large Yorkshire puddings served with tasty gravy. The beer prices were reasonable. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Went on Saturday 03.07.21 around 2pm, due to Covid we expected that someone would have told us which table we could go to but was told just take any table in the conservatory . The furniture looked very dated and the table was sticky, there was 2 tables on the other side of us which was filled with young men and all you could hear was foul language but nothing was said to them to keep the noise down. The lady cam to ask what we would like to drink and then came back to take our orders for food. Not a great choice, my husband chose gammon, egg and chips and I chose burger an chips, we waited over 30 minutes and finally arrived. the Gammon was over cooked on one side and very fatty, egg ok and chips tasty. My chips were tasty but that was it, the burger was not home made and to be honest I have tasted better at McDonalds, it was the worst burger I have ever tasted, I had taken 2 bites and thats all I could stomach, it was vile. The waitress/barmaid did not come back to see if everything was ok so we went to the bar to pay and she tried to charge us for extra drinks and my husband told her what we had, obviously we left no tip. I used to go to this bar many years ago and was always busy and a great atmosphere, now its just disgusting, never again

Only been few times in last year and all were brilliant. Last one was just yesterday jan 26 with family and so good.
