Ordered a chicken panini on Uber eats delivered within 5 minutes the bottom was drenched in butter and Grease too soggy to handle or enjoyI gave Baranda another shot ordered $19 Rigatoni arrabbiata sauce (not spicy at all) and received less pasta then local restaurants sell as a side 0-2 pizza is horrible also it was the quality of a frozen pizza
Arrive at 6:30p to a near empty restaurant with one other table who seemed to be taken care off. Waiter sat us down and never came back. Waited 10 minutes and left.
Baranda is hands down the best restaurant in the Hamptons serving Italian classic and new wave cuisine. We found out that they just started serving breakfast and lunch- count me in! Tonight I enjoyed the pork chops with cherry peppers that were pounded thin and very juicy and tender. Everything is always made fresh by chef Carlos who sources the best of the best . Why is this place great? It’s because the chef knows who you are and what you ordered the last time and before that. Even if the place is packed he finds time to come out to personally make sure everything is perfect. Who does this? Someone who truly loves his work. At the Chi Chi places out here they ignore you because the staff either is untrained or aloof. At Baranda you feel like you’re appreciated and respected. We’ve been eating in the Hamptons for over 30 years and no restaurant has demonstrated the consistency of taste quality and service- thats 12 dinners consecutively and we don’t even own a piece of the place- wish we did! Located on County Rd 39 in the space previously occupied by Crust it’s away from the frenzied shtick of the NYC phony wannabe’s out here. They still have the wood burning oven for the best pizza east of Grimaldi’s but are using it for many other amazing al forno classics. This is the real deal. We’ve been there since it opened with a goal to order everything on the menu then begin again. Do you remember how Sant Ambreus used to be in it’s heyday? Baranda is better. Did you like the eggplant parmigiana appetizer at Tutto when it first opened? I did but never again since the last time it was microwave hot on the edges and old refrigerator cold on the inside. We’re never going back to either of those washed up joints. And how about Argento? Sure the food is good not as good as Baranda) but 4 people could eat and drink at Baranda for the price of 2 at Argento! Baranda rules! Clearly Baranda doesn’t need to charge you extra to subsidize inflated rents like other restaurants on Main Street in the villages. Maybe Argento needs to change its name to Oro ? At Baranda each dish is prepared fresh with premium ingredients unlike the other places who cut corners just to sell seats. This week we’re trying the breakfast and lunch menus
