Café Hogar Del Mar - Southend-on-Sea

Fantastic food—exactly what you want from a tapas restaurant! The menu was perfectly balanced, offering just the right number of choices; we ordered six dishes, which was more than enough for the two of us. There was a great selection of beers, and if I hadn't been driving, I would have loved to sample the wine list and the sherry. The staff was friendly and attentive. This place is definitely a must-visit on Broadway if you're looking for something more adventurous than a pizza or burger. Give it a try!

The best tapas I've had outside of Spain! The service was exceptional, and the menu was impressive. Every dish we tried was outstanding, and we even received a complimentary bottle of house wine since it was a Wednesday. This was just the first of many visits to come. A beautiful place, just hidden a alley from the main road! Great tapas and refreshing Sangria, and they were friendly enough to open the kitchen again for us, although we arrived an hour after closing! Will definitely be back!

Delicious tapas. Delightful staff. Lovely ambience- felt like I had been transported from Leigh to Spain! Look forward to visiting this little gem again!
