The Fish House - Southend-on-Sea

I've used this place when I've got a vegan menu in the logout. there are many, many fish and chip shops in southend and just a few do vegan options. also this special shop gets good reviews in the opposite, so I thought it would be a whirlpool. I had the chips, vegan nuggets and a burger. everything I expected from a chippy and the delivery was fast and efficient. a good product in the fast food business that I recommend to all local veggie and vegan, as well as those who want a more authentic chippy instead of most in southend. updated by previous review on 2021-08-31

Great classic fish and chips but have been a few times where they have run out of a few things. It’s definitely the best fish and chips in Southend by far though

We ordered a medium portion of cod and chips for two. The fish was smaller than expected and was dry and overcooked. The highlight of the meal was the buttered roll. I prefer to dine at Oldhams down the road in the future, as this restaurant is not to my liking.

The worst fish and chips I ever had, The service was terrible, Asked me to wait 30 minutes and gave me a rubbery fish and mushy chips, and paid for 2 medium fish and gave one medium and one small fish.

This restaurant used to be the best in the area, but our visit on Friday was very disappointing. The chips were mushy and inedible, one of the fish dishes was okay but the other was undercooked. We had to throw away most of our meal. What has happened to the quality here?
