El Sombrero Mexican - SOUTHINGTON

This is a nice spot. I stopped by during happy hour and only had appetizers, but there were good options and the food was tasty! The service was excellent—our waiter was attentive and very accommodating. There was live music in the front, and the restaurant is divided into two areas: a bar side and a dining side. It's a fairly spacious place overall. If you're looking for quality Mexican food at a reasonable price, I highly recommend checking this place out. If it were closer to me, I would definitely eat here more often.

I 'm rating El Sombrero a 5 compared to other Mexican Restaurants in our area. If you want the BEST salsa, this is the spot! I cannot say enough about the chips salsa. Simple, yes but worth it! Great entrees, you get what you expect. Very flavorful. If you ask they may make it for you (off their old menu) the Steak Mango or the Chicken, rice olives. Both delicious. The only thing better than the salsa and the DELICIOUS frozen Margaritas is the friendly face bouncing around always taking care of the guests. If you 've been you know who it is. I 'll always miss the Eddie but glad the 'El ' is back in El Sombrero. He would be proud. GET THE SALSA! Take 1 to go. You won 't regret it. A Southington treasure!

Best Mexican in town in my opinion. Always great, fast and friendly service. Love the selection of flavored margaritas as well as amazing homemade salsa. Never had a bad meal here. The owner regularly makes rounds in the dining area to thank patrons and talk with them.

I love this place so much. Excellent food and drinks that will knock your socks off. Free chips and a perfect salsa for everyone. Enchiladas and tacos to die for. And try a frozen margarita made by the amazing Gabby in a plethora of flavors. One will make you giggle, two will make you swoon (be careful! . Other amazing drinks too. The staff is wonderful and makes you feel at home. Shout out to Gabriel too, the best waiter around. In the mood for Mexican? This is THE spot.

Oh ya baby! This is the place to be! Wonderful food! The best Mexican food in the area. I love it. The drinks are amazing. The sangria is so yummy and full of fruit. Staff is friendly and really do a great job. Lots of choices on the menu including lots of veggies. Bathroom could use an update but it is perfectly usable.
