Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Southlake

This was the worst smoothie I've ever tried. To start, it was mostly ice and water, so I really questioned what I was paying for. The girl at the register was rude, and I left feeling like I had just wasted $20. I guess on the bright side, at least it wasn't McDonald's.

I'm thrilled that there's a new location! It's now in the former Starbucks spot. The Island Green is my favorite smoothie! Today was their opening day, and I was impressed by how efficient and friendly the staff were. They even had a fun raffle where you could spin a wheel while waiting for your order. My smoothie turned out perfect!

Overall, my experience was quite mediocre. I decided to check out this newly opened restaurant after hearing about it. I understand they had just opened, but when I walked in at 1:26 and didn't have my order taken until 1:31, despite there being no one else waiting, it was a bit disappointing. The portion size was fair for the price, but the flavor of my mango smoothie was barely enjoyable. There just wasn't much taste to it. I went in with $6 and came out with an average drink.

I absolutely love the fresh fruits used in the smoothies here! I've been trying to steer clear of the usual chemically flavored and colored options found at more popular drive-thru places. I'm so happy that my little one can enjoy a smoothie made with real fruits that are perfectly blended. She particularly likes the Blimey Limey and the Jetty. The highlight of our visit was the manager (I think her name is Ariel?), who was incredibly helpful in customizing our order. She made the pesto flatbread without chicken just for us vegetarians, even during the Tuesday special deals! She remembers her customers and is always so friendly. Highly recommend!

I ordered the Thai chicken salad and an apple. When I mentioned that the slaw didn't taste good, the staff member gave me a baffled look. On a positive note, the detox smoothie was quite enjoyable.
