Alure - Southold

The restaurant is lovely, situated by the sea, and the staff are friendly. I tried meatballs with hot Thai sauce for the first time in my life and they were incredible (as seen in the picture). The dessert was good and light. However, I wasn't a fan of the pasta with mushrooms as the pasta was too hard and the flavors were not delicate. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

However, the service was a bit slow with the waiter only coming to our table a few times and not taking our order promptly. Despite this, there was a sign at the front asking for patience, so we understood the situation. The prices were on the higher side, but that is to be expected for fine dining on the North Fork. Overall, it was worth it for a chic night out with local options and a touch of flair. The waterfront location added to the experience and made me particularly happy. I ended up choosing this restaurant because my mom knew someone who knows the owner, and we had been wanting to try it out. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.
