Castucci's Italian - Southport

We order a lot of take out and it is very difficult to get to the right website and find what you want. The Facebook link to the website does not work and it says that the page is not secure. We tried to order online but the experience was not great. It is unfortunate because the food is really good once we finally were able to figure it out. If they could make it easier to actually order food they would definitely get a better rating and we would order there all the time.

We have been enjoying your restaurant for years, and it's actually my favorite in the area. Last Saturday night I was very disappointed. I was dining with my husband and adult kids. We didn't have an appetizer or salad and only a glass of wine. After we ordered, we sat for one hour and 10 minutes before we got our dinner. It hit me after we left. They have recently started doing Doordash. They prioritize DoorDash orders over loyal customers who are in the dining room! It is not a good strategy for the long term. If you are going to prioritize take out orders, then you need a chef dedicated to only that service, and use your current staff to take care of your customers who come into your restaurant and enjoy the entire experience. I hope the management will consider what I am saying and make the appropriate changes to prioritize customer dining in house.

I ordered two entrees to be delivered by DoorDash. I devoured the mussels in marinara sauce the first night. The mussels were tender and flavorful and it wasn't a chore to eat the generous amount provided. I liked the marinara sauce so well, I saved what was left and used it on rotini for lunch the following day. I LOVED the meat lasagna. A very generous portion equated to three meals for me. The sauce and meat were expertly prepared and SO good! I will definitely order from Castucci's again! I'll also likely visit in person. Hopefully, the table service has improved since my last visit.

Great food, wonderful service! Love the chicken parmigiana and chicken picatta, chicken is so tender and tasty. Wine selection is amazing!

I was a little hesitant to order Italian food in NC being from CT. I have say it was pretty good! I had the chicken saltimbocca. Good portion, the sauce is a thin brown sauce not like a gravy, more like the consistency of a jus. it had mozzarella and prosciutto and spinach, I got mine over spinach instead of pasta. Also had a ceasar and side salad. Ceasar dressing is very strong anchovy taste which was a little bit much for my liking, but the ranch was good.
