I have to admit, it was quite challenging to find this small restaurant in Camberwell... With no website, no phone number, an inactive Facebook page, and only two reviews on Yelp, my grandparents have a stronger online presence. However, Ricon Cochabambino exceeded my expectations. The value for money was incredible – the plate in the photo cost around £15 and included a huge steak (cut unknown, as the waitress only knew the Spanish name), a sausage, and plenty of carbs. We enjoyed plantains, chips, rice, an unfamiliar vegetable that resembled parsnips (which I suspect were yams), and a small side salad. The wine was also very enjoyable (although that’s never been a problem for me), but “unfortunately” it was from Italy.
I visited Rincon Cochabambino on a Saturday afternoon with some friends for lunch. The service was friendly and efficient, creating a nice casual atmosphere. They provide excellent value for the price, and I really suggest trying the barbeque platter for three. Just make sure to bring cash since they currently do not accept card payments.
I am bolivian and I tried this restaurant, it was like being back home! Excellent food at a very good price. Totally worth it!
Since my wife is bolivian, I took her to the apparently only bolivian restaurant in town. Long story short, local place (only bolivians arround), good local food, bus stop at the door, and in the end the food and beverages cost us 10 pounds each. Despite not bring fancy, it is very decent and clean. If you are into new experiences and flavours, dont miss it.
