The server was prompt and welcoming. The food was served hot and was delicious, with generous portion sizes. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegetarian options, possibly in a combo meal. We would definitely return to this area and dine here again.
The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was excellent. We had a reservation for 7 and were seated promptly at the scheduled time.
This restaurant offers excellent food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere. They serve the best Chinese cuisine at very reasonable prices. All dishes are made with fresh ingredients from top brands. Make sure to visit this fantastic restaurant when you're in Spaniard Bay.
Great food /Great staff, a great service. Beautiful, clean rooms, clean washrooms, always consistent
I have to admit I was a little excited about having something other than cod for dinner as we passed the mid-point of our vacation in Newfoundland. Perhaps even something a little spicy? We chose Restaurant 99 over another Asian restaurant in the area because...it was not a buffet restaurant (I don't usually trust those). On the positive side, we did get in and get seated before the dinner crowd. On the negative side, unfortunately the food was not very good. My husband had chow mein, which was ok, but I had mongolian beef and one other in our party had mongolian chicken, which were described as being served on a sizzling platter. Which they indeed were .... but being served on a sizzling platter indicates, to me, that the meat and vegetables will be crispy, but instead, they were drowning in sauce (sauce which I am pretty sure had ketchup as its main ingredient). Now, I am as a big a fan of your basic Chinese restaurant as the next person, but unfortunately Restaurant 99 did not rise to the occasion. It seemed rather like what a Chinese restaurant might have been like fifty years ago...
