Felix's Fish Camp - Spanish Fort

Tried this place last night and it was definitely a home run. Started off with the oysters on a half shell and man did they hit the spot. Also had the fried crab claws and those were very impressive. But I had their signature fried platter that was unbelievably huge. Fried fish, oysters, green tomatoes, and shrimp?everything was on point. This is a place you must stop by and try out.

This place wasn't the worst, but it's certainly not the best either. We stopped here while on a conference in Mobile. The food was a little pricey, portions were normal, fried dishes lacked seasoning. The Mac and cheese and cheese and cheese was hyped up just to let us down (it tasted like stouffers). The camp salad was interesting (heart of palm in it). The heart of palm reminds me of artichoke. But not as tasty. I wouldn't return.

What great fun Alabama gulf coast theme restaurant! A huge place with gray views out to the gulf of Mexico. The crowds are huge but the place is still plenty quiet to be able to hear your conversation The staff is highly trained and efficient. Awesome dinner!! We were here a year ago and had an excellent lunch, this time we had dinner and it was just as delicious as we remembered. We made a reservation on line and requested a waterfront table if possible, we had a front row view of the sun setting. We started with the soup trio(gumbo, crab, and turtle) all are amazing. We were here on a Friday lunch. It was slammed. We ate a full meal in the bar area. Excellent team service. Synchronized service with working managers! Had gluten-free cornmeal breaded oysters?tender and excellent. Batty seafood platter also scrumptious! Abby was extremely pleasant. Soft-shell crab, crab soup and fried green tomatoes prepared perfectly. Kudos!
